Default Yankee Candles - Wedding Day

    Hello ladies

Has anyone seen or smelt the Yankee Candles in Wedding Day fragrance? I am thinking of incorporating them in my day somewhere cause I love Yankee Candles but want to smell them first. I know they can be bought online.

If you know of anywhere in Glasgow that stocks it let me know and I can have a sniff!

    Cheers
    Jx

    Hey,

I'm using the Yankee wedding day candle as favours for the ladies. My friend made me a wee bride box and one was in it. Smells really nice, fresh and clean.

That made me decide to go for them as favours in wee organza bags with personalised match book.

I'd say go to any Clintons card as they are doing Yankee now, might be worth a try.

Or just buy a wee sample online and see what you think?x

    Hi Jackie,

I think most big department stores have sections with these candles - John Lewis, Debs etc.

I was thinking of having the little wedding day candles in organza bags as favours for the ladies?

They smell really nice - not too overpowering

I recently made favours for a customer and she provided the Wedding Day Yankee candles. They smelled really gorgeous, fresh and clean and my studio smelled gorgeous afterwards! They don't smell of anything that anyone would find too strong or offensive if you know what I mean.

There is defo a wee stall in Buchannan Galleries, just outside La Senza and Oasis etc.

I love yankee candles, never thought about using them as favours - good idea! Anyways I wasn't enamoured with the smell of wedding day one, but everyone has different senses, so I wouldn't worry!

    Hope you love it

If your stuck, I work in Glasgow, and there is also a little shop in our town that sell them, I could buy one of the little tiny samples for you and send it to you??

A little bit out your way but there's a Yankee shop in The Centre, in Livingston. I love it! They have every fragrance imaginable!

Cheers ladies. I am off to Buchanan Galleries today to do my nosey. I had been in to Debenhams and they had gorgeous ones but not wedding day.

I was thinking of putting them in the organza bags with the personalised tag on the top as well and also lighting a few o the day - smart thinking mrsandersontobe!

I will let you know how I got on. I reckon if I am not enamoured with the small I will get Yankee candles anyway cause they are so nicely fragenced and so many to choose from.

    Thanks for all the advice.

Thanks for all the help ladies.

    Hi Jackie

I got married in June this year and also did the yankee candles in organza gift bags for my lady guests .. they went down a treat .

Dont know if you are thinking of attaching a wee tag to them .. i did .. i stole an idea from the Yankee candle website in USA

    It read

" We hope that the love which lightens up our life will last forever. Thank you for sharing our special day!

    Just a another wee idea!

What a nice wee saying Leigh!

Mrsandersontobe -a woman after my own heart, I am already having a good look on ebay. My fantastic florist (also my friend) is seeing if she can buy them in bulk at cost price and just let me pay for them so that could be lovely if it works out cheap!!

Looks like there might be a rush on ebay to get these candles!!

It is nice to know that others have used them as favours and they have gone down well.

I really love that verse Leigh, makes it that bit more personal!

Girls I've just ordered my yankee wedding day votive candles from yankee.co.uk

I'd been on ebay and they were selling for 1.60 plus postage. I needed 50 which would be 80 plus postage.

yankee.co.uk were doing a bundle of 50 for 69.99 and postage was only 3. It's not a major saving but it's good enough for me.

Can't wait to get them now, will have a few extra for myself x

I can't wait to go to Glasgow two weeks today now! Trying on a wedding dress and defo going for a sniff at the yankee candle stall!!

I love candles and would really like my venue to be littered with them! Especially at night time but I'd be scared they'd go out or be knocked over or set fire to something?

I know that there is a Yankee candle shop in Falkirk Howgate Centre.
Also there is a shop in Grangemouth town centr that sells them and they aren't as expensive as some other places. x
