    Default My Invitations!!

I don't know if I really should be putting these here as they weren't a DIY job exactly.....my mum makes cards (altho only sells them at coffee mornings at the church, or gives them to people she knows!) so she's making all my stationary!!

anyways, i just wanted to show them off only got the invites...but the menus/order of services will be similar.

the invitations will be closed with a wax seal that has champagne glasses on it just adds a nice wee bit of detail. cant wait til they're all finished, but wedding isn't til july, so got ages to wait before they can get sealed hehe x

    Default Invitations

    Hi Sue,

Your invitations look great, if you don't mind me asking where did you get the card, materials etc and how did you print them.

I really want to make my own but unsure where to start.

    Thanks for your help.

    thanks.

bride2b....my mum went to our local printers (Deacon Bros - Kirkintilloch) and asked them to buy in long strips (the width of the card) in ivory (which she then folded and cut the right length for the pocketfold invites). she also got the patterned/textured paper for the inserts from them (think she paid between 50 and 100 for all of that). she got the brown backing paper from papermill (livingstone - for a couple of pounds!) and the ribbon from a wool cart in kirky town centre. the patterned strip that runs along the pocket bit was just cut out of the brown paper by one of those wee papercutter things (like a hole punch?!). she printed everything (incl.the 'wedding invitation' on the front) on the computer she really is a mastermind

it took me AGES to finally decide on what to do for the invitations, and tbh i keep seeing other ones that i like more. but she's made them all now and they are really nice, so will have to just stop admiring others!!!
