    Default Disney Songs??!?!?

Hi 🙂 We've been thinking about first dance songs...forever!
We get married in April and our band can play anything we like (with 4 weeks notice).
My dilema is- I really really want a Disney song that
    1) won't sound naff
    2) can be sung by a band
    3) won't sound stupid with male vocals

im not even bothered if it's a cover of the song (in fact that would probably sound better) but I just can't seem to find anything 🙈

Any any help would be greatly appreciated!?! Xx

It depends on what kind of tempo you're looking for but here's a couple of suggestions:

    - Lion King, "Can you feel the love tonight", Elton John
    - Little Mermaid, "Kiss the girl"
    - Tarzan, "You'll be in my heart", Phil Collins
    - Lion King 2, "Love will find a way"
    - Tangled, "I see the light"

The first two are proper "classics"! The last two have female vocals, but your band and lead singer might be able to work round that or put their own twist on it. Good luck x

'So this is love' from Cinderella is a beautiful song - it's particularly lovely with piano and vocal only 😊

What about 'You've Got A Friend In Me' by Randy Newman from Toy Story?

I don't know if you would consider it naff, but it's a bit different from the usual Disney 'big sweeping, you're dreams come true ballady' type stuff.

I actually really like the lyrics as they can be interpreted as you are marrying your best friend?

'Some other people smarter than me, bigger and stronger too, but no one will ever love you, the way I do, it's me and you'

A band should be able to pull it off with relative ease as it is quite minimial and it was sung by a male originally so won't sound wierd.

    Hope that helps.

It 's a rainy day so here it is just to cheer everyone up in time for the weekend.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iWrIfEgFlQ you can have a little read at the lyrics too and see if they fit with your idea.

I would go for You Got A Friend in Me!

Always goes down well with all ages. Or We Belong Together, also from Toy Story!
