We've just booked our videographer for our May '15 wedding. I didn't realise you we're asked to pick songs!? That's quite exciting however picking our first two dances seems stressful enough. Can I suggest Googling first dance songs as that will give you similarly nice songs to waft you have. Also:-
    Pink -Glitter in the Ayr
    Take That - Greatest Day
    Lifehouse - You & Me

    Thank you
I'll you tube those and I'll have a wee go at googling some more with your suggestion.

Our wedding video is mainly music with the exception of our vows and speeches. I liked the idea of that. xx

    Great choices

I was compiling a list of songs last week, so difficult as i like too many! My video is mostly music too, bar the speeches and service.

We want to incorporate 'You are the Best Thing' into the wedding, whether it be 1st dance or in the dvd I think its such nice words. Also have noted down Beyoncé Halo, Jason Mraz - I wont give up, John Legend - All of me, Lady Gaga - Marry the night. There's so many songs but when your asked to pick you go blank! We've to give our dvd guy 30 songs :/ x

We were asked the same question by our videographer the other night! So difficult only picking around 15! Ones we will definitely have will be: I won't let you go (James Morrison), Beauty & The Beast, A Thousand Years (Christina Perri), All About You (McFly). Like the idea of Clean Bandit - Rather be too!

Need to get my thinking cap on and shortlist my songs haha! xx

Couples I've filmed in the past have perhaps chosen songs which mean something to them, current songs in the charts or from the year they married. Anything goes really. It's good to have a mix of songs both in tempo and in length as it helps when editing to match the footage to the music you've chosen.
Best advice though is to go with songs you both like as you're going to watch your wedding film over and over! If you're struggling to get your list, ask your videographer for some suggestions. I know I keep a list of songs which I send out if couples ask for some inspiration.
