    Lightbulb Boudoir Shoots

    Hi all,

I'm thinking of having some boudoir photos taken as present for the hubby to be, does anyone have any recommendations of where to get these done (ideally not somewhere that's over priced, or charges over the odds for the prints etc).

Has anyone ever been to The Image Emporium in Park Circus, and have any feedback of how their photo session there went?

    Thanks

Oooh I did this ..... it is a brilliant thing to do and the results are fantastic!

I've heard that these budoir packages are quite limited and commercial - having not used one, it would be better to see what other people say about them before you decide.

I went to a photographer called Nic Marchant who specialises in erotic photography and has a studio. He'll do what you ask rather than dictate the "package" and rules to you. I had a great day out. His wife did the hair and make up and I was made to feel welcome and relaxed - which you need if you are getting your kit off! He took loads of pictures and then I chose which ones to put in the album. He was also quite creative in terms of putting a wash over certain ones to make it look "artistic". Downside - his studio is near Cambridge, which means flying to Stansted, but the train goes direct from Stansted to his local station where you will be picked up.

But I think it might be worth you looking at local freelance photographers as another option (if flying to London is a bit much!). Maybe someone on the forum can recommend someone a bit closer to home.

Good luck with is and have loads of fun whatever you decide.

Hiya, I got one of these done as a gift for my hubby on our wedding day, If you have a look at www.angelboudoir.co.uk there was loads of us from the site got boudoir shoots done there and I never seen one single complaint about the photos. I ended up buying a large picture, a smaller one (which I got free) and a mini album......still love looking at them 3 years on !!!

I took 5 of my own sets, and she picked what she thought would look best against each background versus what i felt most comfortable in. But you could also hire corsets from them (35 a hire) if you wanted

Honestly no need to be apprehensive about it, i'm no skinny minny and a bit self-conscious, but I felt totally at ease.

I imagine they'll discuss additional packages when I go in to look at the photos, but I dont expect they'll do the hard sell to be honest - they will know themselves that a lot of their business will come from forums like this, so no point in doing themselves out of business by being like that.

when are you booked in for?

Deal on Wowcher today - http://www.wowcher.co.uk/email-deals...46D72&p=link_3

I've been to this studio before, not for a boudoir shoot, but a normal photo shoot as an engagement present from my boss, they're really nice, total bargain by the looks of it! x

have any plus size ladies been? I think it would perbaps be a nice keepsake but I'm a bit unsure how flattering it would be....
