Default How does the Groom get to the church??

Might seem like a silly question but I've been looking for quotes for cars to take me and my Bridesmaids to the church but I wondering if I need to get one for my H2b and the Best Man too?? xx

Yes, your Groom and his best man would usually have a car to take them to the venue/ceremony but you can do it whichever way you want, it's your wedding! Although I wouldn't have him bussing it or anything like that LOL! I think it used to be one for the bride and her father, one for the mother of the bride and BMs and one for the Groom and Best Man but things change and people have different circumstances/budgets etc so you do what you both feel like you would want to do! xx

It is totally up to you. My brothers all took their own cars to the church and then best man drove it to the hotel after the church. It meant my brothers all had their car at the venue to leave the next day.

It's up to you. Some people like everyone is fancy cars others don't want the added expense.

No we are getting married in a chapel first so need to arrive in style haha! It would be so much easier if we were getting married in the venue! Might ask someone in my family to take my car with them so we can get home the next day xx

LOL! Well maybe then you would see how much he really wanted to marry you! LOL It will depend on which venue we choose but I think we will get a car for me and whoever is giving me away (not decided yet!), my MOH and BM but everyone else will just get there! LOL My h2b will prob just take our wee mini anyway! I'll tie a nice colour scheme matching ribbon on it for him, natch! LOL x

I think if the bride gets to go in a fancy car then it's only fair that the groom does too. It's his wedding too. To be fair the car was one of few things that my h2b was actually bothered about.

I wasn't too fussed about cars and neither was H2B, it was my 2 sons that wanted to go in a fancy car. We've ended up getting a white jeep limo to pick up H2B and his lot then come back for me and my lot xx

Im staying over night at the venue so I dont need a car. My H2B wasnt fussed about one so hes just getting a lift from his parents. We only live 10 minutes from the venue anyway.

My other half is getting taken up in his dads BMW with a wedding ribbon on it, we couldn't justify the extra cost to hire a car, if money was no object I'm sure he would have had a wee sporty number though!! xx

I suppose it depends on how far away the venue is from where the lads are getting ready. We're staying at our reception venue the night before (separate rooms of course!) anbd the church is only 5-10 minutes away depending on traffic. We have 2 cars booked and an MPV. The first car will be the bridal car for me and my mum (she is giving me away), the second car will take my H2B and the groomsmen to the church and then return for a second run for the bridesmaids. The MPV has been booked for the parents, grandparents and a few VIP guests (my older sister for instance isn't an official bridesmaid but is my witness). We thought the MPV was a nice touch to make the VIPs feel a bit special. x

My groom and best men are taking their own cars - OH thought that no one will be there before him anyway so no one will see him arrive and isnt fussed about a car for a little journey! He wants casino tables instead so might get him that as a surprise

Thanks for flagging this topic! I had not thought about this either.

I am getting taken to my venue in a Big Black hackney taxi, nothing fancy but its exactly what I wanted.

I will organise something for H2B hehe!!
